KICC is a Nairobi convention and exhibition venue. For a KICC booking, identify the specific event space and obtain its applicable technical requirements. Do not assume every Nairobi trade fair is held here, or apply another venue’s stand-height allowance to your project.
The Buildexpo Kenya organiser currently names Carnivore Exhibition Grounds for its 2027 edition. The project brief should identify the allocated exhibition area and any covering, floor or weather-related requirements. Ask for the actual plot conditions before selecting finishes or planning heavy displays.

A bespoke stand is useful when your product display, meeting needs or brand architecture cannot be served by a standard shell. Prioritise the functions that help buyers engage; a larger structure is not automatically a better sales environment.
If your booking includes a basic shell, first confirm the organiser’s supplied items. Graphics, shelving, a counter and a considered display arrangement can improve presentation without duplicating equipment already included in the space package.
A modular approach can suit straightforward layouts and a controlled specification. Suitability depends on locally available components and the venue rules. Reuse, storage and transport are assessed separately; future savings should not be assumed.
Multiple open sides create several possible visitor approaches. Keep the main message visible from those approaches, position meeting areas away from the busiest entry and avoid turning a prime open edge into the back of a storage room.
Pavilion design needs a shared identity and clear individual exhibitor visibility. Agree module sizes, numbering, common facilities and artwork responsibilities early. A central meeting zone should be easy to find without confusing visitors looking for a specific company.
A second level requires early feasibility review, organiser permission and an appropriate structural design. It should not be assumed available at every event. Consider whether a well-planned single-level meeting area can meet the same requirement.
Arrange finishes and samples so buyers can compare them comfortably. Provide support suited to sample weight, room to open product mechanisms and concise specification labels. Large panels should be integrated into the stand drawing rather than added after fabrication.
